A section through the ventral part of the prosencephalon at its junction with the mesencephalon.
Observe:
1. The primordial area of the optic chiasma in the ventral part of the prosencephalon.
2. The middle of the trigeminal crest.
3. The large carotid arteries on each side of the brain filled with primitive, nucleated blood cells.
