A section through the edge of the chin, manubrium of the sternum and C-5 spinal ganglion.
Observe:
1. The tips of the first arch cartilage in the edge of the chin.
2. The clavicle connecting the acromion of the scapula with the manubrium of the sternum.
3. The head of the humerus surrounded by the deltoid muscle.
4. The isthmus of the thyroid gland ventral to the trachea and the caudal parathyroid gland (pouch 3) lateral to the trachea.
5. The recurrent laryngeal nerve (motor to the laryngeal muscles) in the groove between the trachea and esophagus.
