A section through the implanted embryo with a part of the myometrium (Myo.) and the entire intervening mucosa. Parts of a few uterine glands are filled but not distended with blood. A cystic gland (Gl.) is seen on the left side of the figure. A large branched venous sinus partly surrounds the border zone of the embryo. Section 428.
