Very high power TEM of adjacent surfaces of a polar and an apolar cell in a stage 2 morula in vitro (original magnification x158,000) 96-120 hours post-insemination . Notice long, tight junctional region (TJR) with an intercalated gap junction (G). Arrowheads indicate sites of tight membrane contact.
