EHD's Policy of Bioethical Neutrality

EHD's board of directors has established a Policy of Bioethical Neutrality, which prohibits our organization from taking public policy positions on controversial bioethical issues.

We strongly believe that helping everyone appreciate early human development and understand the forces shaping lifelong health before, during, and after pregnancy are essential steps in the fight to prevent birth defects and chronic disease, promote health and academic achievement, and save lives.

Achieving these worthwhile goals should transcend all controversy and will require the joint efforts of organizations and individuals of all points of view.
